What Comes Next? A Brief Update 🦊

Hello everyone, and happy Sunday! I want to thank everyone who's checked out my 'Fantasy Fungus' Art Series so far, and given it some love on the Etsy Store, as well as my FB page and Instagram. As a relatively unknown artist, I imagine it'll take a while for them to be snapped up, but I've already had one of the originals sold, and a local business owner in York buying a print, with the possibility of requesting more works for future events, so those are really big positives. I'm also continuing to work on other pieces in the background, with a second edition to the 'Fantasy Fungus' Series that'll hopefully be released in the Autumn, and working on some smaller art works that'll be more affordable. More info on that will be released in the next few weeks.
In other, non-mushroom related news, I've been looking into other ways I can promote my art, and how I can generate interest outside my circle of family and friends, and I found myself in Holmfirth last weekend, where I began chatting to another artist at a local makers fair. I gathered some information, we exchanged details, and I've been surprisingly proactive since then, looking into what I can do next.
Well, I'm very pleased to announce that after some emails back and forth, I've now secured a spot at my first every Craft Fair, which will be at the Leeds Corn Exchange on July 6th! Genuinely, it's surprising that I've never actually done any art/maker/creator fairs or events before now, probably because I was a bit nervous, I didn't have enough stock, or maybe I just instantly thought there wouldn't be enough interest. The difference between then and now might just be that I'm in a different head space; I see it more like a great opportunity and a way to just have a good experience surrounded by other creatives, and who knows.....maybe something positive and unexpected will come out of it too? Possibilities, eh?
The fair is hosted by Little Fox Charity Craft Fairs, and showcases a lot of local talent, as well as supporting a charitable cause in the process. I'll only be there for the Sunday date myself, so if you live in or close to Leeds and fancy supporting myself as well as many other independent creatives, please pop by! Oh, and I will be bringing my husband Jake along too, so I can go for wee breaks and food every so often. He's a lovely Australian, so he's very approachable.😊
As for the work I'll have with me, it'll be a combination of my current prints from the Fantasy Fungus Series, as well as some new illustrations, some paintings and exclusive artwork and goodies that are exclusive to those who visit me at the fair.
