Laura Howley, also known as 'thathungryartgirl' has been creating small to large acrylic paintings since 2007. She currently lives in York, and has also lived in Australia, as well as Darlington, her home town.

Her art work has found its way to many places across the world, from homes in York and Glasgow, to as far as rural Canada and the Australian East Coast. While her main specialization is in acrylic paintings, she also accepts commissions for illustration and set design, and holds a bachelors degree in Performance Theatre, specializing in applied theatre and performance installation. She has taken part in collaborative exhibitions, as well as her own curated show in 2015 at York's Picturehouse Cinema and Coppergate.
